My first impressions

My first impressions when I arrived in Vaasa, Finland are quite good, although I was a little bit surprised about the amount of snow in this country. For the first few days, I was lost in the perception of time, because it was snowing so much and also because of the difference in the time zone since Finland is one hour ahead of Slovenia.

After a few days of living in Vaasa, I was surprised by their cuisine. I was really surprised because Finnish people enjoy eating sea fruits. They make almost everything with sea fruits, especially with fish. I never thought that sea fruits can also be this popular in colder countries. I have to say, they make the best salmon soup!

I must say, that the first week of living in Finland passed by really quickly. I spent my whole first week in school called Vamia and I was surprised how the school looks like. The school is very big. It has a big workshop, where both adults and students educate for their future profession. Both students and adults are very kind, so I made a lot of new friends, with whom I spent the whole week together. The school also has a canteen, where we got our warm lunch daily.

Finland is a very kind country with a lot of goodhearted people, so I recommend visiting Finland to everyone!
