A school in Spain

Our school was very big, having also more students learning there. From the entrance it looked quite old and run down, but inside the classrooms were very modern and there was a newly constructed building behind the schools main building.

The school also had more various equipment available for students, like our classroom, where everyone in the class had their own computer. The school also provided free access for various online sites, with them being used in the courses. Each of the students had their own school mail, with the teachers putting whatever they needed for that day’s class on it. The classes also focused more on projects. The teachers told us, that they try to keep the lectures 50% projects and 50% theory. With learning trough what you made, being very important for them, like the project, where groups six made a fake shipment, with them needing to make a route, all documentation for the shipment and a mock-up of the container they used. There was also another classroom, that was used in some classes, just across the hallway, which was used for project and group work only, with the tables being put together into six big ones, where the students could work together in the groups. The school also had air condition units in every classroom, which for us wasn’t a really big deal, as we had classes in the late afternoon/evenings. The school also had some stuff I didn’t like, with the school not having a canteen, but had various vending machines available for students.

I find the school had interesting feature, like the fact that the school in general had more equipment available for each student to learn from. However, I also didn’t like some stuff, like the fact that the school didn’t have a cafeteria, and that the classes were taking place in the afternoon, with the main reason being that the students would need to stay in school on Fridays till 10pm.
