Living abroad

¡Hola!
It’s been a while since I wrote a blog. There is so much things to do here in Tenerife. We are having so much fun.

España is really interesting country. Especially Canarias islands. I always wanted to go to Spain and that wish came true. So I’m here in Tenerife for one month.
We are staying in an apartment in Santa Cruz with four students from Hairdresser school Ljubljana. So basically there are eight girls in one apartment that means that living here is really hectic. 😂
In first few days me and Lara were discovering the center of the Santa Cruz city. We saw a lot of different buildings, which are very colorful by the way, a lot of tourists besides us, an opera, beautiful beaches and so much more. We visited botanical garden Palmetum Tenerife and it was really lovely there. So many beautiful flowers, trees and plants.
But living abroad isn’t that easy. At least not for me. My orientation is really bad. So I’m really thankful to have Lara by my side so I don’t get lost. First you have to figure out how all of these buses and metros work and than you have to find the right stations for the buses and than you have to find your way out of the small streets. That’s really impossible to manage. But we learned that in 4 days. That was amazing. Besides all of that you have to bring a Spanish dictionary to the market to get the right ingredients for every day meals. When you get used to it it’s very easy.

Of course I miss hotel mama, my friends, my own bed and grandma’s Sunday lunch but still Spain is Spain. I wouldn’t mind staying here for a little bit longer. 😀
