First day at work

The first day at work was really interesting. Me and my friend Nejc woke up at 6:30 am, and I can say we were quite tired from the day before. We went on the bus, but it was quite scary because we used the Tallinn bus for the first time. I must say they have a lot of buses and it’s complicated to navigate, but I think we’ll get used to it in no time. Eventually, we got to work, got dressed in our safety gear, and started working. At the shop, only one mentor knows how to speak english, so naturally, the manager assigned me and Nejc to work with him.  We got to know each other and then straight to the first car that needed service.  It was an old Toyota and it was really rusty because of all the salt on the roads here in Tallinn. Nonetheless, we got it done and the next five jobs were tire changes. It was tough and time-consuming because I haven’t done it in a long time. Then there were two more services to be done and that was pretty much all for the day. The long ten-hour shift has finally come to an end. We were quite tired and hungry and couldn’t wait a second longer to go home. After one hour drive, we finally made it home, I cooked some diner for both of us, and then it was shower time. After showering, it was time for bed and it was so nice to get some well needed rest.

So in general we have quite a stressful and hard schedule, but I think we’ll have plenty of fun working like that. Can’t wait for more days to come. My opinion is that we’ll have a lot of fun and hard days but that’s how the work in Tallinn goes.
