Finnish people are a very peaceful nation. Every time I stepped out onto the street, I never saw anyone shouting, driving recklessly, or causing damage. All drivers in Finland regularly adhere to traffic regulations, so the police rarely need to intervene. There are very few accidents in Finland each year. Usually, accidents occur due to intoxication, but rarely. The fines for speeding are also very high, starting from €500 for exceeding the speed limit by more than 20 km/h. Fines are also calculated based on one’s salary. If you have a higher salary, the fine is higher too.Traffic regulations also change according to the season. In summer, the speed limits are higher than in winter because there is a lot of snow in winter and the roads are poorly cleared. In winter, cars have special tires with studs. These tires are called “studded tires.” Everyone needs these tires in winter because there is a lot of ice on the road as they don’t salt the roads.Finnish regulations don’t suit me because I am a more dynamic driver.
