Hojer is a small city with 1156 people. The city is located on the west coast of Denmark.
Hojer has the biggest windmill in Denmark. Windmill was pretty big and had 6 floors. Every single floor had something different inside and it’s quite phenomenal how was this thing operating. On the bottom floors, there were 2 small models of this windmill. And next to them we can see how was wheat crushed into a nice smooth texture.
Next to Hojer, there were 2 embankments, that are protecting the city from the water destroying it. The first dam and embankment were created in 1861. After that, they had some problems with water so they decided to create a new one 1km away. The second dam and embankment were created in 1981 and were given a name called Vidå lock.
