Today we were school free so we decided to go on a trip to Hojer city. Hojer is just a basic small city like many others, but it has 2 interesting things. When we firstly arrived at Hojer i have spoted a big windmill. We walked to it and it´s one of the biggest windmill i´ve seen. It was built in 1857 by the locals who started to expand the city. We went inside and saw a small replica of inside, and some other crush rocks for wheat. We went to the top and I thought there is going to be a view but there were only big gears and metal transfers.
We continued our way to one of two sluses. It was a half hour walk to the first one and we were a littlebit disappointed when there was no sea, but the teacher explaind that this was a main dam until 1981 when the second one(now main) was built. It´s called Vida lock and it defends 12.000 hectares of farm and urban land. We went to see it and it was very windy. I took some pictures of it too and I think it was definitely worth it.
