FIRST WEEK AT WORK

We started working in our workshop on Tuesday. We arrived there at around 9 o’clock. Then we got changed and headed to our working space where we were given different tasks.

For starters I was told to put together the tire stand. First, I read the instructions how to assembly everything together. Secondly, I started putting all the parts from the box and check if anything is missing. Because there were all the parts, I slowly started to assemble the stand, without the instructions it wouldn’t be possible to put it together that quickly. After a while it started to look like a tire stand, then I told my coworker that it would be great if we fasten the stand with screws. He went to hardware store for screws and drill bit so I was able to drill holes for screws. I put the tires on the stand and first day at work was already at the end.

Next 2 days we were putting off the police sticking on Suzuki Vitara. We used heat gun, so the stickers went off more easily. After that we disassembly police lights off the roof and the siren in the engine bay. Friday began slow, because other coworker Marcos hurt his back and wasn’t able to work, there wasn’t much to work in workshop. Little after coffee break, Bladi came and asked us if we know how to grind color of the car. We didn’t do it before so he showed us the basics how to do it. We were working on Mercedes Benz Vito which needed to be painted, so he gave us sand paper and we sand around windows and door handles. This took us almost all day but the car was ready to be painted. After we sand the car, Bladi showed me that I can sand the doors for Ford Transit, which they must be painted as well. I sand the inside of the doors and then I cleaned it with acetone, after that Bladi gave me paint and I painted my first doors.

It took me quite some time to get it right but then it was very easy.
