Finnish lifestyle

So the first week in Finland was very fun. The start was a little bumpy, but it got better when some time passed. On Monday us logistic students had fun, because we didn’t have school because the teachers were sick, so we stayed at home and did nothing.

Because we stayed at home, we went to Lidl to buy stuff for us to eat, but when we got there it was like a maze. Everything is different from our country and nothing is in English so we were just picking stuff based on the picture on the product. The time went so slow when we were at home because we didn’t have wi fi. The next day was the first day we went to our school. The whole school was ginormous. They have separate buildings for each profession, so we got lost on the first day. The whole school system is different here. You just study one thing and not multiple like in Slovenia. And also their school hours consist of 50% practical work, while ours consists of only 5% maybe not even that much. But the next few days when by like the speed of light, because when we got home, it was already dark outside, so when we come home we just eat something and go to sleep and wake up and repeat.

But altogether, the first week was great. I got to know new people and made new friends. We learned to save money because everything here is quite expensive. And mostly we learned to live together and work together as a group, so we get stuff done quicker, so we can still get something from the day.
