Last day of school. There are only a few hours left to get new experiences and new knowledge. Four weeks passed by in a blink of an eye. Because of the school, but mostly because of other activities.
The day started like every other, nothing special. My lesson started at eight o’clock. After we have done what we had to do and clean our work space Jaka and I returned the work clothes. Our professor was very pleased with our work. After the conversation, we had to say goodbye. After lunch, Tomi and Sirpa came to pick us up. We headed towards to the car museum, where we saw a few interesting cars, including a first generation Mini Morris for rally. Which is quite impressive considering that the car is only 3 meters long, a presidential vehicle and many others. After visiting the museum, we also got on the observation tower that was nearby. There was no view because of the fog, but we saw two deers, so I think it was worth walking all 66 steps
After that, Sirpa and Tomi surprised us with a picnic. In Finland, it is quite a common thing to have open fireplaces in nature, where people can light up a fire and cook on it. They brought several types of sausages, drinks, chocolate and everything that you need for a picnic. Both of them were very relaxed, the conversation was about our exchange, the beauties of Slovenia and Finland, about our hobbies and much more.
Sirpa promised to us that she will come to Slovenia to see the ski jumps in Planica, and Tomi has offered a job to me and Jaka after all the words that he heard about us from our professors. When we all smelled like smoked sausages and were quite cold, we went home. We thanked them for everything and then said goodbye. I must admit that we were hiding our tears.
