The Finnish language is quite interesting. They belong to a completely different language family, so the words and the way they form sentences is a little bit different from Slovene and English. But this doesn’t stop us from trying to understand at least a little bit. Thankfully we have Google translate, where you can just take a picture and it translates it for you. It only get’s a little bit more difficult when some people don’t know English and communication get’s kind of limited. But at the end of the day you can still mime your words, if nothing else helps. I have also been doing Duolingo lessons for a month already. At the moment, I understand a few words here and there. My favourite words are definitely velho, which means a wizard and pupu, which means bunny. I know that Duolingo isn’t really much, but it is a start. I would definitely love to actually continue learning Finnish trough better courses, since I think that it would be pretty useful to know at least one more language.
