Finally, the day of departure for the exchange came. We started our journey at five in the morning at the petrol station in Ivančna Gorica. The route took us to the airport in Zagreb, where we took off at 8:30. I had enough space on the plane because I had the whole row to myself. The weather was also on my side, as it was not cloudy, and I had a fantastic view of Slovenia. After landing, we went to get our bags and went to Burger King with a classmate. I was pretty disappointed with the quality of food and drink, as it was much worse than in Slovenia. The prices are also exceptionally high. After that, we were supposed to go on the train, but they canceled it. We also missed the replacement transport and therefore had to buy new tickets. The good thing about this is that I started writing my first blog and wrote this part while waiting for the new train. While riding on the next train, a new incident occurred during the journey. Two policemen came to pick up a passenger and dragged him out. That’s why we missed the transfer train and had to go on an ordinary train, in which we were all crammed together like sardines. When we finally arrived in Herning, the apartment’s owner was already waiting for us there. We barely got our luggage into her car and headed to the town of Hammerum. The owner quickly shows us the apartment and takes the professor to the hotel. We then unpacked and went to the nearest store and bought bread. For dinner, we had bread with homemade salami.
