Living independently and living abroad? I was always imagining it would be very hard, but I learnt it’s pretty simple and likable. I am in contact with people close to me regularly and I don’t have trouble being homesick at all. The classmate and I got used to it pretty fast. We wake up each morning, have breakfast and go to work. When the clock shows the work’s over, we head home. While heading home we check out some sights and plan, what we’ll eat when we’re home. And that’s how we plan the following days and weeks. It’s really not hard being so far from home, since we have eachother and other roommates. We don’t see our roommates very often, but when we do, we kindly greet eachother and talk. I’m happy, since I can try their typical foods, but I do miss the food from home. It’s true that I miss my boyfriend, my family, home country and my dog, but I’m really grateful for a chance, to spend an entire month abroad and get to see other people’s lifestyles. Here in Tenerife, life is symphatetic. The people are really nice and kind. They like to show their feelings and they’re really expressive.
