Traffic in Denmark is known for its safety and efficiency. Travel is better by bike or public transportation instead of cars, enabled by a well developed public transportation system that includes trains, buses, and metros. We noticed that drivers are calm and friendly. Many people use public transportation because it is not worth it for them to own a car, which also reduces the pollution caused by traffic. Trains run at speeds of up to 180 km/h, and it only took us 4 hours to travel from Copenhagen to Sonderborg, despite the considerable distance between the cities. Denmark has dedicated bike lanes and roads that have traffic lights specifically for cyclists. We also noticed that there are no paid parking lots.
