Going to Spain has not only been the farthest I’ve ever been from home but also the first time I’ve ever went on a plane. I wasn’t nervous or scared at all but I didn’t know how airports really worked so it was good we had the professors there. It’s a tiring experience, we got to Tarragona very exhausted at the end and ready to just fall asleep. Even though we didn’t because we were too excited to just fall asleep on the first day so we went for a walk by the beach.
You get to meet a lot of people travelling. People who are also travelling from different places, to different destinations and for different reasons. I’ve met people who are here from Spain but also from Morocco, Hungary, the Netherlands and even Tajikistan. When you meet them and get along it’s interesing to think about all the things that happened beforehand that lead you to meeting them at that very time and place. One small difference and you’d remain strangers.
Another great thing about travelling is all the sights you get to see. Things that will take your breath away, broaden your perspective and fuel your sense of adventure. I have to admit at some places I’ve visited I’ve felt like a small kid that is about to meet Santa.
All in all travelling is very fun and exciting. There are countless posibillities on what can happen, who you can meet, what you’ll see and do. I am happy to be going home but at the same time wish I had more time to see more things. Regardless of that I’ve created many memores that I will definitely cerish.
