Now, the third week of work in Finland, in the city of Mikkeli, has begun. During the week, I spend every day in the company from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. When we finish work, a vast amount of free time remains. When I was heading to Finland, my biggest fear was how I would spend this free time, as I am not used to coming home from school or work, lying down on the bed, and doing nothing until the next morning. I am accustomed to, when I come home, eating standing up and then rushing to the workshop. Here, however, we spend our afternoons lying around, going for walks, watching series, playing Xbox, visiting saunas, and the like. The city of Mikkeli is very underdeveloped and also lacks any attractions, so we cannot shorten our afternoons and weekends by visiting them.
Would I live as I live here in Finland?
No. Life here is monotonous and uninteresting, and I would rather live at home and work because work is my passion, and I enjoy it.
