Taking the senic route

We started our trip home at around 6‏ am when we got on a bus to Madrid. The trip was long but the bus was equiped with wifi and screens on each seat. After a 3 hour drive across what felt like half of Spain we arrived at Madrid airport. It was still 2 hours of waiting for our flight, so we had a small lunch break and cheaked our bags in. We then boarded the plane and settled in for a nice relaxing flight. The plane was not full so many rows were empty and we switched our seats so we would have more space.

We landed in Zagreb ahead of schedule and had good spirits of getting home before dark. The otherwise perfect experience was ruined by the nearly 3 hour wait at the airport. In fairnes we were travelling in less than ideal times. But in the end we didn’t even go trough the check because we were leaving Croatia. Wasn’t fun in the slightest but some other Slovenians kept us company. The only thing left was for us to drive from there to Ljubljana. And after about 12 hours of travelling we arrived in Ljubljana. My jurney was complete, which is more than I can say for my friends. They each had another hour or two of driving to get home.
