For last two weeks in Denmark our goal was to make a product which depicts Slovenia. We were working in pairs. We decided to make a Triglav, our highest mountain.
First we started to sketch it on paper. We had to sketch it in ISO projection, which means the corner from the middle of the paper, has to be 30 degrees on both sides.
After sketching, we wrote the project on the computer in the Inventor program. We had to draw every part for itself and then assembly them together.
After that we wrote a program for the CNC machine, which cut our parts so we could weld them together. We used TIG welding; this is welding with adding material, and MIG welding with gas CO2.
When we welt the parts together, we added a cork with a hole in the middle, made with a milling machine. We pushed the rope through this hole and added oil in our products. On the end, we lit up the rope and it was burning very nice.
