I have to say that when we arrived in Tampere I was quite surprised. It reminded me a lot of Ljubljana. I feel that despite the fact that they both have about the same number of residents, Tampere feels much smaller. Maybe because the center is designed so well, at least in my opinion. Everywhere you look there’s a convenience store. For the most part I don’t even feel like I’m abroad. It’s also really nice seeing snow. Since we didn’t get much in Slovenia this year. I was also surprised by the amount of evergreen trees they have. Even during the winter there’s greenery everywhere. As long as the trees aren’t covered in snow as well. Tampere also has a really well made train network. There’s a bunch of routes in and out of the city. They also always arrive on time. Not to mention the amazing spacing between them, if you miss one you’ll rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes.
