On Thursday, March 17, 2022, a mentor from Finland took us by car to the sea. We left the
school called Vamia, where Nik and I did part of the internship, at 10.00. About 15 minutes of
driving passed until we came near the sea. We drove about 2 kilometers to the island. During
the ride, we talked about the thickness of the ice. I found out that the ice was about 50cm
thick that day. The road on the ice on which we drove is so paved that it passes water currents,
because where the water flow is, the ice is thinner. There was a bar on the island where we
went for a drink. The mentor said that we can go for a drive, but only on the road. I turned off
the ESP system and ABS and ASR which make it easier to brake and start. But for a fun ride
on the ice, they get in the way. However, since it is not possible to completely switch off the
electronics in the 2014 year of the vehicle, it still helped to brake. It wasn’t as much fun but it
was wonderful. Then Nik joined me in the ride. When we stopped driving our mentor took us
back to the apartment. Along the way, we talked about tires that are used in Finland and that
are banned in Slovenia. We came back to the apartment at about 1:30 p.m.
