My expectations for Madrid and all of Spain are verry hight. Before I started writing this blog I went to internet and search for Spain capital city Madrid. I read that it’s the second largest city in the Europe with population of 3,4 million inhabitants, what scares me a little bit. Because I come from the small country with capital city is Ljubljana with population of 300.000 inhabitants I’m not used to big cities with a lot of people. My biggest fear is that I will get lost in so many streets and I couldn’t get back to my apartment. Anyways when I think about how much experience I could get and how my English will get better I calm down. Besides there will be my schoolmate Tjaša and she will know the way.
Since I know I was picked to go to Madrid I think about how nice will be there. I read the blogs of students who went to Madrid before us and it sound amazing how life there was. I’m excited to go there not just because of culture, food and learning language but also because of the weather. Spain is located in Southwestern part of Europe so I hope the temperatures will be much higher than in Slovenia at this cold, autumn time. But let’s go back to food and culture, where I hope I will find more amazing new things about Spain that I didn’t know before. I know Spanish foods like paella and gazpacho and I’m willing to try them all when arrived there. I’m verry interested in history and architecture of the cities too so I hope I will have enough time to go to museums and some beautiful parks of Madrid. I expect that I will learn a lot of new things in sewing studio where I and Tjaša will go working. I hope I will make a great impression on professor (tailor) with my hand sewing skills.
