Loro Parque has 4 shows. They have dolphin shows, parrot shows, seal shows and orca shows.
My favourite was the seal show. I loved that a part of their act was raising awareness about pollution of the seas.
In the act one of the two trainers throes an empty plastic water bottle into the water. That’s when the other one starts booing and encourages others to start booing as well.
Even the seals look unhappy about it and one of them dives to it. He carries it in his mouth to the trash can just outside the tank. Unfortunately he missed it by only a couple of centimeters.
But while one trainer gives each seal a fish, the other one quickly goes to pick it up and carries it back.
I think it’s a really good thing that they have that as a part of their act. It reminds people to be more aware of the pollution of our seas, as well as encourage to not do this.
In my opinion this is very important for the children watching the show. It teaches them to not do that. It raises awareness in a very family friendly way. I hope that all the children who watch it keep it somewhere in their subconscious and hopefully never become the kind of people who pollute our planet.
