When we arrived in Helsinki on Sunday, we saw a lot of different people. From black people to Chinese and others. I have noticed that they also dress and behave differently.
The nex day, when we arrived in Mikkeli, we met our mentors Seppo and Tevo. They both spoke good English but sometimes they stumbled a bit, but we are not all perfect. They showed us around the workshop and the school. I saw a lot of different people. Some had peiercings, tattoos and different hairstyles. I noticed that every Finn has a different style, unlike Slovenians who dress almost the same.
The nex day, we met the local students. At first glance they seemed very closed in on themselves, but when I started talking to them they opened up and the conversation flowed smoothly. We ended up exchanging phone numbers so that we could get together and they could show us around.
The next evening we got together with the guys and socialised a bit. We walked around the city a bit. A Finish guy had a sports car (a Toyota Supra), he showed it to us and drove us around a bit. I was very surprised how powerful this car is. Then we went to a sports bar and socialised a bit. The bar had games ranging from billiards, darts and slot machines. We had a little chat with the boys and I realised that the Finns are a very funny people once you get to know them. We were told that the city is more empty during the week and that people tend to socialised more during the weekend. Finally, we exchanged phone numbers and headed home.
