As you travel across the world, you see that everywhere it’s different, but depending on where you go and where you are, you see just how different and similar places could be. We went to Spain to see how it’s here, as none of us have been to Spain before.
I had already known places I visit and go to in Slovenia very well, and I mostly know what to expect when going to said places. It is also very small, compared to Spain, and has smaller distances you need to travel to and less places to choose from, where you go do different stuff. Like the stores and restaurants, an example is what food to order and where is that food is good and freshly served. I also know what my day would look like, even when things go wrong, because I can expect what could happen next. With also knowing the weather and what temperatures I can expect when.
But now it’s into the unknown now. I didn’t know any places where to get food, in other words good places to eat, where the food would actually be good and the prices would be good compared to the store prices, which are lower than in Slovenia. Our plans for the day would also suddenly change, because something unexpected happened and surprised us, like if the store we went to was closed or the restaurant didn’t look appealing. With differences in distance, like longer journeys across the city and it being just less densely populated, it would also emphasize, if we changed our plans for the day. I didn’t know the weather also, surprising me a couple of times. One time we were visiting a school exhibition and the sky turned grey and I thought it would start pouring down rain, which would have been perfect as I didn’t have an umbrella with me. But to my surprise just a few drops fell from the sky.
It was great to experience something new, and knowing that at any time something unexpected could change the day. With us also needing to figure out the situations and enjoying our time.
