We saw 6 Milion € today!

Moiiii.

Today professor Timo took us to another campus in Pirkala. The tehnology in Finland shocks us everytime. The first thing that we saw when we stepped in was a huge digger loaded on the truck. The next thing that surprised us was when they told us that this isn’t special transport. In Slovenia everything that is higher than 4,2m , widther than 3m and weights more than 44tons is special transport. We continued our tour to the warehouse. They store tires for the whole city, Tampere for 2 companies Hertz and Käyttöauto.

When they receive the tires they wash them with a special machine, they insert all the data in the app and storage the tires in racks by sizes. The value of all the tires stands at about 4million euros.

They also load tires on the tuck and deliver them on the right address. On the last two racks they were storing charging stations for electric cars worth around 2milion euros. Those stations have a shockwatch.

Shockwatch is a device which turns red if the station was not transported at the right conditions it also takes notes when did the mistake happened. We were amazed because they trust their students to do such important things. They had a competition which we tried and we were 2nd best. In the end of our workday our tutor Anssi (student(s) who help us in school and around Tampere) made us coffee. Then we went back in Tampere with a school bus and we took the tram back home.

Can’t wait to tell you more!

Moi moi,
