The trip started at 4:30 from Ljubljana. We had an 2 hour drive to Zagreb airport. Then we had to wait for 2 and a half hours for an airplane. You always need to be at airports at least 2 hours before the flights.
This was my first time flying and it was awesome. We had two flights. The first one was scheduled at 9:10 from Zagreb airport, and was super on point. We flew on an Airbus A319 of Croatia airlines. This is a small airplane that fits 150 passengers. Before the landing we had a bit of turbulence but nothing too dramatic. After an hour and a half in the air we landed safely in Frankfurt.
Frankfurt’s airport is absolutely MASIVE. To move from terminal to terminal you use trains. Its so big that Airbus A380 and Boeing 747 look like toys. A am still amazed. Its so big. Its unbelievable.
So. Back to the story.
After landing we had almost 3 hours until next flight. It was scheduled at 13:25 and I have to say it, the Germans disappointed me. I heard a lot of their time accuracy, but we were 10 minutes late already from the get-go. This time we were flying with Lufthansa’s Airbus A321 Neo. This plane was twice the size of previous one. And if I sad bad thing about time accuracy, I need also said that we were 15 minuets early in Helsinki, so…… It’s not all bad. The flight took a little bit more than 2 hours, and we had zero turbulence this time. It was almost a bit boring if I’m being honest.
After the landing we went on a train that took us from airport to he main station where we boarded the intercity train to Tampere. It was an hour and ten minutes long ride. It was the same train that we use in Slovenia but it operates at double the speed.
So! At 20:00 we were in Tampere. We were picked up by our helper Thomas. He picked apartment for us, and at 21:00 we were finally “home”.
And that’s pretty much it.
Thanks for tuning in!
