The first few days at work, I felt a bit scared. New colleagues, new premises and, of course, a different way of working.
The mentor I got and I got to know each other very quickly. we introduced ourselves, I told him a little about myself and he told me a little about himself. We quickly got on well and started working as a team. At work we talked about how I travelled, where we live. I told him how we work, and he told me how they work, and I saw that we work in a similar way. He started to trust me and let me have the car, he quickly saw that I was doing well. I showed him what I know how to do and some pictures on my phone , then he was even more surprised. He also saw that I don’t like to sit down or lean on the desk while I work, so I told him that in Slovenia, where I work, the boss is not allowed to see me do that. When it was time for coffee, he repeatedly told me that I would know that this was normal for them. I felt very comfortable among my colleagues. I was also entrusted with the cars to take them to the lift. I appreciate and like that I did well , of course when you told me to race the car on the tracks I got an extra boost. He showed me everything, even the video of the races that were there for me to watch. I am grateful to have met such people in my internship and to have had a good experience.
