when I was in Finland I soon realized there was a very big difference in a lifestyle compared to Slovenia that it was kind of hard for me to adapt but with sheer will, I managed to overcome that barrier. in school they were so relaxed and almost did nothing but have brakes that I was kinda bothered by it. It’s not in their nature to argue so they just say ok and that is that. Finnish people are in general very antisocial because when I spoke to a student and we spoke for like 30 min. he said to me that he was surprised that I started to talk to him and have such a long conversation and that he is not used to such things. 1 time we went to work and it was like -16 degrees celsius we were freezing but what my mentor said really surprised me because he said that it’s quite warm and that it’s not that cold. Their country is focused heavily on garbage recycling and keeping the environment clean that when you walk in a city you are not going to see any trash on the streets. Slovenia is mostly catholic but in Finland, you won’t find very many catholic churches but instead you’ll find Protestantism churches.
