First real day at Madrid

Our day started quite late, when coordinator came to pick us up and then we went to our new workplace for the next month.

First we went to our workplace witch is located on the outskirt of the city, it’s called Gumar renting. Workshop is quite large and there are 2 car lifts, place for sanding cars and paint chamber. We need to get used to their working time because they start late and they work until 6 or 7pm, they also have 1-2 hours for lunch and siesta (short nap taken in early afternoon). Then we went to see other workshop where other two students will work.

After that they show us around CIFP Profesor Raúl Vázquez school, where we have the opportunity too see how big and modern their school is. They have 4 different workshops for trucks, trains, cars, small planes and planes engines. The school is equipt with modern machines, workstations and it’s designed for their needs, you need to know Madrid isn’t that small.

  • I was very imprest with how much different types of vehicles they are repairing. They have way more interested working enviroment than we have it at our school. After the tour of school we were able to comunicate with students which are coming to Slovenia for exchange.

We ended our day with positive thoughts for next day and to many more new things.
