Wednesday was the last day at work and it started as normal as any other day.
When I arrive at the workshop where I’ve been working for the past month, there is already someone there who put cars outside (the cars are inside overnight), so we have place to work. For the last month I and my coworker were disassembling Renault van, on which the engine block had a hole in it.
In first week, I remove the bumper, lights and radiator. After that we took motor out together with transmission, because it was easier this way. We took apart motor and transmission and then I disassembly the old motor and mowed the parts to new one. Then we cleaned the chassis a little bit because of oil which poured out of engine block, and then it was time to put the motor back in together with transmission. It was quite hard because of all the connectors and wiring harnesses, but we manage to put it back in with little difficulty. We started the van and it runed like new, we checked for any leakage and we mount cardan joint.
On last day of the work, I was required to put it back together, it was quite hard to remember where all the bolts go on the van that I first disassembly by myself. We started working on Volkswagen Transporter, where the clutch and timing belt was need to be replaced, but I was only able to put it apart, because Thursday is a holiday. When it was lunchtime the boss took us to a restaurant, where I tried a Spanish traditional food. I would say that their food is very tasty and delicious and I would have tried it many more times. After lunch we came back to the workshop so we worked on a Transporter a little bit more. Before it was time to go, we were able to disconnect motor from the chassis.
When we finished, I went to pick up my work clothes and then I went to say goodbye to my coworkers and wished them a happy holiday. I am glad that I got this opportunity to work in another country and met new people. A new experience for which I am very grateful.
