The Tredu school is so much bigger than I originally thought. We spent the whole first week just being showed all the different campuses. The main one on the outskirts of Tampere is massive. The campus consists of 9 buildings for all the different branches of the school. From buildings for logistics students to the building for film students. The main campus is really well equipped with everything you could think of. A massive warehouse with a loading bay. A huge garage for all the different vehicles (trucks, buses, excavators, loaders and so on). That’s just the main campus. On Tuesday we went to the Nokia campus, where they have classrooms for electrician students and woodworkers as well as machinists. On Wednesday we went to the Pirkkala department, where the school has a functioning tire warehouse that services most car rental companies in tampere. They also have a contract with Nokian tires to transport tires to their testing facility in the far north of Finland. We also visited the Pirkkala airport where Tredu has their avionics department in a shared building with Patria. There they have several hangars full of planes for the students to learn/work on. On Friday we went to the department in Kuru where the only Tredu forestry department is.
