When I went on an exchange abroad, I actually travelled by plane for the first time. The first flight we had was from Graz to Munich. It is funny, when you know you’re flying for the first time, but you don’t know what it’s like. Would you feel sick, or have a headache, or would you feel good? You have mixed feelings, you don’t know what is going to happen, but you know that pilots are trained and licensed, airplane checked, and everything due the protocol.
When we took off, it was such an interesting feeling, knowing you’re flying above the clouds, high in the sky. Wonderful. I remember wondering many times many years ago, what it was like to fly. I have always had a sense of danger in the back of my mind and fear of flying, because of the extreme height. Now, that I know how it is like, and both flights to Finland and including the flight to Rovaniemi, have been calm, I am feeling relaxed to fly again. I enjoy the view or rest carefree when fly above the clouds.
I am no longer afraid of travelling by airplane; there is always a new opportunity when you break even the hardest ice. I am convinced that my flight to Slovenia will also be calm. Probably even nicer than the others, because I will be coming home.
