“Starting third week of the exchange, I woke up refreshed and well rested. Soon I realized that was because my alarm clock didn’t go off. So, with the fact, that I’m already late for 30 minutes, in my mind, I quickly got dressed and rushed to school.
Luckily, I wasn’t late for school, so I decided to relax and try to start working stress-free. Of course, this wasn’t the day to be calm and worry-free, since it all went wrong very fast. Everything I sew I had to undo and sew again. I just couldn’t and couldn’t get it right. I was losing my mind and almost drooped everything and left. Fortunately, it was time for lunch. Food was actually surprisingly good according to the past day. We finally got some fish since Finland is known for fish dishes, and we haven’t had any till now. School time was finally over, so I left. But before I could even get to the doors, I fell down the stairs right down on my butt. It didn’t hurt but it must have looked funny because I was grabbing for air trying not to stumble down.
When I walked to the hotel the path seemed so long and to addition to that I was also really hungry. There was no dinner waiting for me there, so feeling a little lazy I decided to bake some cookies with pre-mixed powder. Instructions were of course written in detail, but with me not being focused the batter came out all wrong. It ended up being a cake with a lot of ingredients that weren’t meant to be put in. before I could even find out if it is edible or not, I had to bake it. Not surprisingly, after 30 minutes after I put the cake in the oven, I realized the oven is not even turned on. After another 15 minutes of staring in the oven waiting for the cake to be ready, I figured that the temperature is lower than it’s supposed to be, so I corrected that and continued starring at the oven hopping nothing else go wrong. The cake ended up being pretty good…nothing Nutella couldn’t save.
Went to sleep peacefully, because I knew tomorrow can’t be worse than today.”
But thank God neither of those things written above did happen to me. I was just the observer while my friend was losing her nerves.
